CREATION OF THE TEACHER VIDEO RESUME

HOW TO RECORD THE SELF-INTRODUCTION VIDEO FOR YOUR VIDEO RESUME

Before recording your introduction, you should find a noise-free tidy space. The background can be neutral or, if possible, have something teacher-related (a blackboard, an empty classroom). Your cellphone or computer camera will suffice.

Good lighting, whether natural or artificial, is essential. If the lighting isn’t adequate, the image quality will be poor. Ensure your light source is coming from the front, never from the back. If the brightest light is behind you, your face will be backlit and dark.

The camera (your cellphone or computer camera) should be at eye level as if you were talking to another person.

Smile, look directly into the camera, and dress appropriately for your potential employer. Communicate your message confidently: avoid fiddling with sticky notes or sheets of paper, as you may become distracted and lose eye contact with the camera.

After the first recording, watch the video. Even if your verbal language is correct, your body language may not be conveying the message. Make sure that you aren’t losing eye contact with the camera or shifting too much.

Ideally, you should begin by introducing and talking about yourself, your major accomplishments, and your skills. Keep in mind to not spill your resume’s content or detail your qualifications and experiences. You will provide all this information later in the video that CVExpress will create for you.

The main goal is to introduce yourself, explain who you are, what you do, your methodology, and what you want to accomplish. Show the recruitment manager that you have a strong desire to teach. Before you begin recording, make sure you have a script ready.

In the end, don’t forget to say your goodbyes and let them know that they will be able to read all the details of your resume afterward. (Which will be included in the video CV we will prepare).

The length of your introduction video should be between 30 and 45 seconds. The video that we will record will last approximately a minute and a half. After combining your introduction and our compiled CV, the final video will last about two minutes.
